M2 High Speed Steel - This steel takes an edge about 4 times sharper than carbide. It is best for finishing cuts and in hard and softer woods. This M2 High Speed Steel has a hardness of 62RC. It has the lowest cost of the three steels offered for the TurnMaster. M2 High Speed Steel can be sharpened to between 0.2 to 0.4 microns.
