Blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon) typically grows in eastern Africa. It features a rich, dark color and is often referred to as ebony, although it is actually related to the rosewoods. 

Our pen blanks measure 3/4" square and are between 5" and 6" in length. They are sold in packs of 5.
