SKU: 108864 Small Ultima Hollowing Tool

The Ultima Hollowing tool uses a 1/2" round high speed steel cutter with a micro adjustable cut limiter that keeps the tool from catching. It can be adjusted precisely with a knurled collar for heavy or light cuts. The Ultima can be used on wet or dry wood on end grain or face grain. It is available in two sizes: Small 1/2" by 12", or Medium 5/8" by 17". Both tools have an articulated head to provide for access in hollow turnings. Since only 1/3 of the round cutter is used at a time, it can be rotated twice to get a fresh cutting edge when it becomes dull.

A sharpening mandrel is available as an option as is a scraper holder with round high speed steel scraper cutter for making finishing cuts. Both tools come unhandled. They can be used with the Sovereign or other tool handles provided by the user.
