Aluminum Oxide is a well known bonded abrasive that cuts quickly. These slip stones are available in 3 grits, Coarse, Medium, and Fine, making them perfect for sharpening carving tools or refining and honing turning tools. These stones measure 4-1/2" x 1-3/4" with rounded tapered edges. We offer two sizes to fit into the flutes of turning or carving tools. The thickness of this Medium grit slip stone is 3/8" to 1/8". Use with water or honing oil as a lubricant.
