1/2" Key Chuck - #2 MT

This is a drill chuck that fits in the #2 Morse Taper of your headstock or tail stock. The Key Chuck can used to hold miniature stock for turning, or to hold drill bits in the tailstock for boring weed pots, tool handles or depth holes. The maximum holding capacity is 1/2" diameter. 

Note: to use in the headstock, it must be used with a drawbolt. Draw bolts can only be used with lathes that have a through hole in the headstock. They are threaded into the taper and are kept in place with a washer and nut on the back end of the headstock. Thread size is 1/4 x 20tpi or 6mm x 1.0.
