Snakewood (Piratinera guianense) comes from a relatively rare tree in Central and South America. It is reddish-brown with darker black or brown stripes/patches. It is a fine textured wood and is extremely dense and brittle. It turns and finishes beautifully. Our pen blanks measure 3/4" square and vary in length from 5" to 6".
